Does your GPA matter?

Ok ill just put it out there, I have a 2.65 GPA, and no I am not "proud" of it, it could be better but I think that it really doesn't matter, schools teach you to be an employee, but what about just making something great and selling it? look at Mark Zuckerberg, sure he got every question on the SAT write and attended Harvard and had good grades, but he never had a real job before he became the founder of Facebook, all he did was make something that people liked and made a website that now cost's 33.3 billion dollars. I most likely wont be as big as Mark Zuckerberg but I have estimated that my living cost would be about 4.3 million dollars, could I make that much money? would it be possible to sell something and be set for the rest of your life?
